About Gregorio

Gregorio Heise is not a career politician. He’s a veteran, a father, a businessman, and a patriot.

Born in San Francisco to parents who legally immigrated from Santiago, Chile, in pursuit of the American dream, Gregorio was raised in a family rooted in faith, work ethic, and patriotism. His life has been defined by service, sacrifice, and a deep love for this country. He embodies the American success story – rising from humble beginnings to become a decorated veteran, small business worker, and devoted father.

Serving in America’s Armed Forces

Motivated by a sense of duty and gratitude for the opportunities America gave his family, Gregorio enlisted in the United States Navy on February 23, 1986, and was stationed at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Though honorably discharged due to a medical issue, his commitment to service never wavered.

After his Navy service, Gregorio attended Weber State University, where he met his future wife. They married in October 1997 and were soon blessed with a daughter. When his wife joined the U.S. Army, Gregorio became a full-time father while working part-time to support their growing family – a testament to his belief in strong family values and personal sacrifice.

Small Family Business

After two years, Gregorio returned to Abilene, Texas, to raise his daughter near extended family and joined the family’s jewelry business, which has served the community for over 75 years. He also attended specialized training in jewelry bench and laser repair, continuing his tradition of skilled, hands-on work and small business entrepreneurship.

Re-enlisting in the Armed Forces

In pursuit of continued service, Gregorio enlisted in the Texas National Guard on December 31, 2002. He was accepted into Officer Candidate School (OCS) and prepared for deployment before sustaining an injury that resulted in an honorable discharge. Though his military career ended, his mission to serve never did.

Ready to Serve in Congress

Now a disabled veteran, Gregorio understands firsthand the challenges facing our nation’s heroes. He is running for Congress in Texas’s 30th District to bring the voice of everyday Americans to Washington. He’s ready to fight for our Constitution, defend the American way of life, and restore common sense in our nation’s Capitol.

GREGORIO'S COMMITMENT

Recovering Lost Flood Angels

In the wake of the devastating July 2025 floods in the Texas Hill Country, Gregorio answered the call.

Gregorio set aside his own campaign to physically dive into the chaos. Putting his campaign on hold for weeks, he joined local responders in Kerrville, diving into floodwaters to help save lives and to recover lost angels

Sustaining Serious Injuries

The conditions were severe and punishing – long days, extreme heat, and dangerous debris-filled waters. Gregorio worked until exhaustion, even sustaining injuries from the toxic waters that required hospitalization, nearly ending his life.

Gregorio’s decision to serve in that moment reflects who he is at his core. He doesn’t talk about sacrifice – he lives it. He put others before himself, just as he did in the Army and Navy, proving that leadership is about action – not words.

Gregorio's Character

This experience is not an isolated moment. It is a reflection of Gregorio’s character. He’s a blue-collar veteran who believes leaders must serve the people before they seek to represent them.

Whether in the military, in business, or in the floodwaters of Kerrville, Gregorio has shown Texans that he is willing to risk everything for his community. While others stayed on the sidelines, Heise was in the water risking his life to serve others.

That is the spirit he will carry with him to Congress. That’s why he’s the right choice for Texas District 30.

PRIORITIES

“I took an oath to defend this country; and that oath didn’t end when I hung up the uniform. I’m running to be your voice, not Washington’s.”

FAITH IN GOD

Everything begins with faith. Gregorio’s entire life — from military service to fatherhood — has been rooted in a deep trust in God and a belief that America is a nation blessed by divine providence. He supports policies that defend religious liberty and restore moral clarity to public life.

AMERICA FIRST

Gregorio believes the United States must prioritize its own citizens, workers, and economy. He supports policies that end foreign dependence, reinvigorate domestic manufacturing, achieve energy independence, and negotiate trade deals that protect American jobs.

Secure our borders

As the son of legal immigrants, Gregorio knows the value of lawful entry and secure borders. He supports building the border wall, deploying advanced surveillance technologies, increasing enforcement, and mandating that immigration be lawful, fair, and consistent with national interest.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

The federal government’s reckless spending threatens future generations. Gregorio supports a balanced budget amendment, auditing federal agencies, and eliminating wasteful programs. He knows firsthand how overspending burdens both families and small businesses.

SUPPORTING VETERANS

As a disabled veteran, Gregorio Heise is deeply committed to reforming the way America serves its heroes. Having personally battled the system for over a decade, he understands the urgent need for change—and in Congress, he’ll fight to ensure that no veteran is ever neglected, delayed, or denied the care they earned through their sacrifice.

FAMILY VALUES

A devoted father, Gregorio is committed to pro-family policies. He believes in defending life, protecting children from harmful ideologies, and upholding parental rights in education, healthcare, and beyond. He knows that strong families are the backbone of a strong nation.
